The Lion Tamer

                                   The Lion Tamer
James 4:7
1Peter 5:8
 Luke 10:19

How many of you enjoy a fun trip to the zoo? They have all kinds of animals, big to small, docile to wild and all in between. Ever been at the Lion section and they roared and it made you jump back?! Sounds like something I’d do. Daniel had his own experience with the Big Cats but his were real life lions. You know… the eat you for dinner kind of Lions and they were not tamed or contained. Daniel was made governor over the King’s officials. Deep within the heart of these men was evilness. They plotted and schemed to get rid of him by creating a law that anyone who prayed to any god or person other than the King would be thrown in a den of lions. Although He knew this law was put into place, our friend Daniel continued to pray 3 times a day. It was his commitment to pray that gave him the courage to stand strong in prayer to God. Prayer will help you as well to confidently stand strong. James 4:7 says “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” As most of you know Daniel was caught and thrown into the Lions Den. To their surprise those lions were about to find out that Daniel was NOT their dinner guest! He had walked in fully surrendered to and accompanied by the Lion Tamer Himself!!!. They did not touch him in fact they didn’t even roar. God had sent His Angel to shut the lions mouths. “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” I Peter 5:8 NKJV the keyword there is “like” my mom often said “the devil has a counterfeit to everything that God has a reality to” he walks about “Like” a lion because Jesus IS the Lion of Judah! Just like Daniel we don’t have to surrender our authority to the enemy’s evil attacks because Jesus gave us authority in His name. He said it himself in Luke 10:19 “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” At the cross Jesus surrender his life and his blood to Tame and silence every lion in every den we find ourselves in. At the first roar of the enemy invite the Lion Tamer into your Den.
