In These Moments
Proverbs 30:5
Ephesians 6:11
Psalms 18:2
In my Prayer time one night I started to pray for my sister. The Lord stopped me though before I could get started and said “she’s covered” I thought “was that just me?” So I tried again and the Lord said yet again “she’s covered” He wouldn't let me pray for her. Sounds strange right? He was making a point So I told my sister the next day or so what the Lord had told me. I was thinking God meant that she was covered in prayer because she goes to a good loving church that does pray for her. However, a few days after that she called me and said “remember the Lord told you I was covered?” She then began to tell me that a need had showed up but in that moment God had already covered it. “Every word of God is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.” Proverbs 30:5 KJV
Things change from moment to moment so that’s why the Word of God tells us to be covered by the full armour of God. “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
Ephesians 6:11 WEBUS
In these moments when you need to be reminded that you are a child of God make sure you are wearing the helmet of Salvation.
In these moments when you are trying to keep your heart pure stay behind that breastplate of Righteousness.
In these moments when the enemies lies are hurling at you like darts towards a dartboard Secure the belt of truth.
In these moments when doubt tries to sneak in hide away behind your Shield of Faith
In these moments when you just need something to hang onto keep a firm grip on the Sword of the Spirit. That’s right use those Sugar Sticks!!
In these moments when you are trying walk in the Light of Christ and not veer off Into the dark keep your feet dressed in the Readiness of the Gospel. After all the Gospel is the Good News that we are Covered by the blood of Jesus at the moment of Salvation and each time we call on His name. The armour of God is one of the ways that God protects and covers us. It’s not just a covering when we have needs to be met it’s warfare! “The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.” Psalm 18:2 KJV
Don’t be moved by what you see put on God’s armour and wait on Him. In faith believing call out to Him. Lord cover me… In these Moments
