Long Before

  1Samuel 17

Ephesians 6:11

II Corinthians 10:4

Isaiah  53:5

Hop in my Time Machine let’s go back about 8 years. It’s a Sunday morning and I’m playing piano as usual . During practice before church the Lord  highlights a line in the bridge of a worship  song. During the  Pastor’s sermon  God also highlights this statement  “nothing has or will ever happen to you that didn’t come thru God first” that next week I started finding out that I had cancer. Long before I got the news the Lord had won my battle.

Now let’s go back to Old Testament  days In 1Samuel 17 David,  a young shepherd  boy,  goes to give his brothers in the army food and supplies. Meanwhile 9 feet tall Goliath is threatening the army of Israel. David gets fired up and ready to go crush  Goliath. King Saul told him that he was too  young and Goliath a man of war. David then gives his testimony of how he killed  lions and  bears who came after his sheep when He was a shepherd. . Long Before Goliath God had prepared David in the field while tending sheep. The Lord had already won David’s battle.

God never lets us go in to battle unequipped. He has given us his armor and protection. I promise you that He is bigger than your Goliath. Even better He has already won your battle. So put your armor on and claim your victory

“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”

Ephesians 6:11 NKJV

Each battle we face is a training ground for the next. Each Victory is a  weapon for the next battle.

I don’t know what you may be facing or battling today But I do know that You,  thru God,  are  More than a Conqueror. “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”

Romans 8:37 NKJV

I want to share   these words with you  from our Gems of Grace song Called “Suvivor Song” which was written in celebration of MY testimony!

“I’m a survivor I’m a fighter an overcomer and a victor. Lord you know this battle was won Long before it begun.”

That sickness you are fighting, or that circumstance that Just seems to keep on attacking you has to wave its white flag of surrender to our Victor Jesus Christ who won your battle on the cross Long Before it begun.

“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”

Isaiah 53:5 NKJV
