Press In
Psalms 37:5
Exodus 13:21
Psalms 16:8
Doors are often a way to describe a change of direction.
Ever try to open a door and it was hard to open and someone says press in just a little harder? Not every God door will just fly right open. Press in a little harder
Face to Face with new doors we at times feel like we are just standing there dazed by what is in front of us We hold back and are almost frozen in our steps because we don't know what’s on the other side of that door. Thats when our knees bend and our heart cries out to God for His direction. “Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.”
Psalms 37:5 NKJV
In the hallway of decision and changes you can rest assured that God is experienced at leading those who seek Him and who are obedient to His Word.
Thru the Old Testament we can see that Even in the wilderness God led the Israelites. In Exodus 13:21 it says
“And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night.”
Exodus 13:21 NKJV
You may not see a pillar of cloud today or a pillar of fire tonight to follow but the Holy Spirit will guide you in the ways of the Lord. Press in hard to seek His Glory.
When you press in on a door you are pressing forward to the inside. You are no longer on the outside of that door looking in. As God becomes our compass instead of our own thoughts and desires we are pressing into His plans. The force of our pressing into Him opens the door to His promises. Instead of staring in the window wishing for his blessings we find ourselves right in the middle of His faithfulness. Keep an eye out though for those revolving doors that keep twirling us round and round chasing after our own selfish ambitions. They go nowhere fast. If we keep our eyes on God we are then also tuned in to His voice. David said in Psalms 16:8
“I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.” NKJV. Except to walk thru the doors He opens. Don’t fear those new doors trust the one who opens and closes them.
Press in to God's plan His promises await.
